HIPPY Program with the TAMU School of Nursing
A home instructor is assigned to each family and will give a 30-week curriculum to you (the parent/guardian) including math, language, literacy, and motor skills. The home instructor will come out and will role play with you what the curriculum will look like and provide all the books, activities, and materials. You will then work with your child on the curriculum during your own time. You have the choice between an English or Spanish curriculum with bilingual instructors. They are currently offering the program for parents of 3 and 4 year olds with plans to expand to parents of 2 to 5 year olds in the near future.
